Industries: All Tech Industries General Characteristics

Environmental Protection
Protecting human health and safeguarding the environment is understandably a global priority. Environmental disasters, including chemical spills and leakage, cause serious damage to our communities, environment and essentially our planet. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and other entities worldwide have set strict compliance rules to help prevent these catastrophes.

All Tech Industries (ATI) coatings have proven to be a very effective protection against harmful substance spills and leakage. Our advanced coating products provide a seamless, watertight coating that withstands extreme environmental conditions and resists harsh substances.

Hazardous Material Containment:

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has passed many regulations under Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 40, Protection of Environment, that require waste or constituents which are hazardous to the environment to have secondary containment. Two deadlines for new regulations are rapidly approaching (December 31, 2009 and January 1, 2010), one for the secondary containment of underground storage tanks (USTs) and the other for above ground storage tanks (ASTs).

Companies that work with hazardous materials should analyze these regulations, as well as all local and state regulations, as compliance is mandatory and noncompliance can result in heavy fines.

All Tech Industries (ATI) spray elastomer technologies meet the new requirements and as well as existing requirements for secondary containment of hazardous materials. ATI formulated products address the requirements with a monolithic, impervious layer that adheres to substrates, and bridges cracks, thus yielding a superior containment solution. When solid substrates are not present, Geotextile can be used with our ATI Ultra COAT™ product line of coatings.

All Tech Industries coatings provide a rapid set time, which allow for a quicker return to service, even in extreme weather conditions.

Abrasion Resistance:

What is Abrasion Resistance?
Abrasion Resistance is the ability of a material to withstand mechanical action such as rubbing, scraping, or erosion that would otherwise remove material from its surface. This ability helps to extend the service life of the surface or structure and maintain its original appearance.

Each year abrasion costs millions of dollars in infrastructure damage. All Tech Industries has created several coating formulas that have extremely high tensile strength properties and superior resistance to abrasion.

ATI High-Strength Coatings provide Abrasion Resistance solutions for:
  • High traffic loading zones
  • Industrial and commercial construction
  • Industrial equipment coatings
  • Flooring and non-skid surfaces
  • Marine environment (boats, shipyards, etc.)
  • Processing facilities
  • Mining industry
  • Infrastructure (bridge abutments, roads, tunnels, etc.)
  • Slope reinforcement
  • Foundation and retaining walls
  • Railway and airfield construction
  • Power plants and sub-stations
  • Landfill and waste bury fields
  • Roof decks
  • Parking Decks
  • Bulkheads and Vertical applications
Chemical Resistance:
Modern Polymer chemistry has evolved over the years, which has allowed All Tech Industries to create a new generation of high-performance coatings.

All Tech Industries high-performance coatings are resistant to water and petroleum-based chemicals, such as gasoline, hydraulic fluid, diesel fuel, motor oil, MTB, toluene, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and caustic chemicals such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide and hydrogen sulfide. Advanced chemical resistant coatings from ATI protect and extend the service life of structures due to its chemical resistance and the ability to adhere even when exposed to highly toxic chemicals for long periods.

ATI High-Strength Coatings provide Chemical Resistance Solutions for:
  • Marine environment (boats, shipyards, etc.)
  • Primary and Secondary Containment
  • Reclamation and breakwater
  • Earth/rock dam and irrigation infrastructures
  • Waste lagoons and pits
  • Landfill and waste bury fields
Corrosion Resistance and Prevention:
Corrosion is the breakdown of essential properties in a material due to chemical reactions with elements in the environment, such as water and oxygen. Billions of dollars in damage occur each year due to corrosion.

The All Tech Industries elastomeric coatings have excellent anti-corrosion and water resistant properties. ATI developed a high-strength polymer coating that is impact resistant and has advanced elongation characteristics, which allow for stretching, molding to and movement with expanding and contracting substrates. The ATI Ultra COAT-EE™ elongation is measured at 1,014% and is comprised of 100% solids with no solvents or VOCs, and is eco-friendly.

All Tech Industries advanced coatings and sealants are increasingly being used to protect various structures and infrastructure components (such as steel pipes) from corrosion. Our products have demonstrated their ability to last much longer than paint, as well as reduce maintenance costs. The All Tech Industries coatings and sealants are a perfect protective coating solution for pipes insulated by our polyurethane foam.

Erosion Resistance:
Erosion to concrete, metal, and soil can cause major damage, but ATI coatings can provide protection from the erosion process. They can actually prevent erosion caused by wind, water and wear.

ATI's coatings provide a barrier against erosion, degradation and leaks. For landfill applications, it is used as a "cap" for preventing wind erosion and containment.

Adhesion:
All Tech Industries products are formulated with remarkable physical properties, which allow for enhanced adhesion that surpasses levels provided by traditional products. These advance properties provide longer lasting protection, enhanced permeability and increased chemical resistance. Strong adhesion also prevents problems caused by temperature gradient, osmosis and electro endosmosis, undercutting and retains its integrity for longer periods of time which enhances the life of the coating.

All Tech Industries spray-applied products have demonstrated a unique ability to form durable and rapid high-performance coatings in adverse environmental conditions. These extreme conditions, (such as temperatures below 0°C and humidity levels above 90 percent), can often interfere with cure times, surface properties and performance of the coating.
