Can't I get some Peace and Quiet?

The first step is to distinguish between noise control and sound conditioning.

Sound barriers are used to reduce building noise in urban environments such as apartments and homes and offices.  Causing sleep deprivation, increased stress levels and effecting your overall quality of life.

Vibration dampening is used to reduce the vibration noise in enclosures such as boat engine compartments, airplane passenger compartments, and the cabs of automobiles.

Acoustic room conditioning is needed to enhance the appreciation of all music, speech, and communication. Schools and churches need it for better speech intelligibility and for ease of communication. Other noise may be annoying both inside and out of the home. (Playing musical instruments, neighbors, street noise, etc).

For these reasons, differing noise control treatments are needed, using a variety of sound control materials and/or special acoustical construction techniques. While it is far better to make the investment in soundproofing when the home is being built rather than doing a soundproofing retrofit, it's not impossible, just a bit more difficult.

Our friendly staff is prepared to answer your questions (frequently asked questions pages One & Two). We have a network of resources available to you, and prices that make soundproofing not only possible, but indispensable.

We invite you to browse our site, and enlighten yourself to some of the ways polyurethane acoustic foam insulation can make your life quieter.
