Piping containing
chemicals and fuels often requires secondary
containment as insurance against leaks caused by
rusting or other physical damage. Pipe diameters
and configurations can make use of rigid
containment impractical, so All Tech Industries
has developed spill
containment systems for above and below
ground applications using flexible membranes and
spray-applied Poly-X. In many cases the
components can be prefabricated in our factory
speeding up field installation and reducing
customer downtime.
The Shell Oil
Company contracted with All Tech Industries to
wrap approximately 18 miles of underground oil
and gas pipes of varying diameters at its
facility in the City of Rotterdam in the
Netherlands. We developed a technique for
coating the pipes with polyurethane coated
Poly-X liner material.
All Tech Industries
has applied its technique to other
installations, including applications where
piping runs through contaminated areas. This
process protects a product or commodity, such as
water, as it moves through the pipes.
SPCC rule
40cfr112 requires pipes carrying petroleum
or other oil products in certain areas have such
secondary spill containment systems.
All Tech Industries'
coatings and sealants are increasingly being used
to protect steel pipes from corrosion. All Tech Industries' coatings have demonstrated their ability to last longer than
paint and maintenance services and costs are
reduced. Our coatings are great protective coating
system for pipes that are insulated with
our
spray-foam. We are now starting to see our coatings being used to line the inside of pipes
for infrastructure rehabilitation work.
